School of Business and Management of Ulster University Visited LYNU

On April 27th, the group of Mr. Maurice Smith, Professor of School of Business and Management of Ulster University, visited LYNU. And Prof. Qu Hongtao, Vice President of International Cooperation and Exchange Department met them. They both gave a brief introduction of their university and present international cooperation modes to each other. Finally, an agreement on “3+1” Top Up Project, “3+1” Undergraduate Project and “3+1+1” Postgraduate Project cooperation was signed. In order to nailing down the agreement, Mr. Maurice Smith invited leaders of LYNU to visit Ulster University in September.

The university was established in 1968 as the New University of Ulster, merged with Ulster Polytechnic in 1984. As the most influential national university in  North Ireland, now it’s a multinational and modern university with high development. The university currently maintains four campuses in Northern Ireland and contains 28,000students and 3500 staffs. It ranks top 10 in the whole Britain. The university covers 7 schools: School of Engineering, School of Humanities, School of Information Technology, School of Social Sciences, School of Life and Health Sciences, School of Arts, School of Business and Management. School of Business and Management is one of the largest-scale universities in Europe. It contains 200 staff and 6000 students, the main courses include business administration, finance, economy, public management and law and international trade. Besides, the bioengineering course is also very outstanding and the major of hotel management ranks five-star according to the America’s standard.
